Bolton has recently joined the Positive Living team to provide the
latest in Bowen Fascial Release Technique as taught by European
College of Bowen Studies.
Jay was a Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) who has retrained as a Bowen
Technique practitioner following the experience of its healing touch
for himself. Jay has over 25 years Nursing experience working in the
community working with clients experiencing Psychotic illness,
Substance misuse problems and Anxiety disorders. Jay has a special
interest in the effects of stress on the body and coping with
Bowen Fascial Release Technique aims to rebalance the whole person
by applying small rolling type moves over anatomically precise areas
using fingers and thumbs. During a session the practitioner will
leave the client, so that their body absorbs, responds and adjusts
to the gentle moves. Clients typically experience the session as one
of deep relaxation, increased body awareness and reduced pain. A
full treatment usually consists of 3 sessions of 45 minutes each,
but adjustments can happen with just one session.
Jay has a fully holistic approach to health care, being not just
concerned with the treating of unpleasant symptoms but with
rebalancing the whole body. Jay will undertake specific assessments
that will enhance your understanding of how discomfort presents and
is maintained in your everyday life and strategies to avoid future
Bowen Fascial Release Technique gives significant positive results
to a range of Musculoskeletal problems, helps stimulate Lymphatic
drainage and creates a deep sense of relaxation.
Typical conditions that clients present with are:- Asthma, Sports
injuries, Tennis Elbow, Acute and Chronic Back pain, Sciatica,
Frozen Shoulder, Whiplash, Stress and general tension, Heel and Foot
pain, Jaw discomfort, Chronic Fatigue, Headaches and Sinus problems,
General aches, pains and stiffness and for relaxation.
